The Starting Line Up

The Starting Line Up was founded by Dick Freeman and edited by Scott Taylor.

It began on the Guelph University campus as a campus athletics paper in 1971 and went national in 1974.

It was published monthly until 1981 and less frequently through 1984 until Dick Freeman became Athletic Director at Guelph Univeristy.

It featured all aspects of Canadian men and women’s basketball.
